New Blue Fx Transitions Ultimate 5 installed and not working

John-Foll wrote on 9/24/2020, 3:18 PM

It is registered in manager and it shows up in the OFX folder, but it does not display in video fx in Vegas Pro 18. I checked in Vegas Pro 16 - it doesn't show up there either. I also ran Davinci Resolve doesn't show up there either. But NewBlue FX Titler Pro 5 works and NewBlue Elements 3 Overlay work in Vegas Pro 18/17 and DaVinci Resolve. When I ran a compositing program called Natron it shows up there (newly installed).

Has anyone else had trouble getting NewBlue FX Transitions Ultimate 5 to work in Vegas Pro 18 or 17? I need it to work in 17 and DaVinci Resolve.

Transitions appear under the Transitions window in Vegas Pro, not the VideoFX window. That's where NBFX Transitions Ultimate 5 appears for me in VP17 and VP18 (and always have done so) as per:

The above pic from VP18 shows the NBFX package when the Filter is set to that package only using the top Third Party filter vtab.

I cross-checked:

https://newbluefx.com/products/transitions/transitions-ultimate/

and all the transitions appear in both VP17 and 18.

You should have 65 transitions in the NewBlue Transitions 5 Ultimate bundle.

Thanks. That was my problem. I was looking in the wrong place! That really helped! I hadn't see your picture here, but I found it under transitions. Makes sense.

That may help. It would be helpful if the companies making plugin bundles would list the names of the plugins as they would appear in the host programs. If you have a lot of plugins, you have a long list to look through. Not all Plugins have prefix or groupings to tell which ones go with which bundle.

In Vegas, except for Titler Pro, none of the plugins will have "NewBlue" in the name. Instead, they are intermixed with the built-in effects and transitions.

Yes, the transitions that work in VEGAS Pro 15 will also work in VEGAS Pro 20. However, if there was some bundle that came with VEGAS Pro 15, they might watermark in VEGAS Pro 20. Current bundles no longer do that but older versions were tied to specific versions of VEGAS.
