No "THANKS" option in First Post?

I don't see an option for THANKS in the initial post of a topic.

E.g. the starter of the "Trial Vpro 13 on Magix" topic/thread (formerCornico) would have been worthy of such an accolade.

+1 vkmast , I noticed that to, i wanted to "thank" him for letting us know about the extensions on the new build, couldn't find it and  was like okay..thats pretty strange🙃

Agreed. I've wanted it, or a "+1" a few times.

It feels like they envision the first post to only be someone asking for help, then people answer, and those who provided information get thanked, and the asker marks one of them as the answer that resolves the question. It's like this is designed to only be a customer support service where people work for "thanks".

I think they misunderstand, that the SCS Vegas forum was a community. I saw a thread was locked here. I don't think I've ever seen any moderation in the SCS forum. As far as I could tell, they left it to the people to socialize, even when they would criticize Vegas. The first post was no different than any other.

People could post because they had something on their mind. They could share some tips they discovered. They could tell people their workflow, or write a tutorial for how to do something. Or they could even post about competitor software, and expect an honest conversation from people without fear.

Here it feels like it's a corporate support center, and you can't socialize, only answer questions for other customers for free. I want to delete my posts, because I was trolling, or sharing thoughts, where it doesn't feel appropriate here. The other one was more casual and open. But they treat the first post differently, so no edit, no delete, no thanks.

Hopefully they'll change that so the first post behaves more like any other.

Jamon,  (ATM) you can in fact edit and delete your post that's starting a topic, if no one has answered yet.

Kind of makes sense, if you remember how some threads made little sense after the OP deleted the opening post on the old SCS forum. And editing in a later post gets noticed better than editing the initial post. Also the posts in between stay comprehensible as the case may be.

Before they listed the topic in the header and footer I made a comment about not knowing what the topic was after reading three pages. Yes it got a little off topic like most of the posts were on the old forum but I guess they took it wrong and closed the topic to more comments. I also joked around about needing the spell check back on mispelling all the words I guess it's all business for them without a sence of humir!!! 😏

mispelling sence humir

👏😺

The topic was closed because it went offtopic and there were several other threads already dealing with the same (initial) topic. The "humir" part is always welcome!

Seems we now have this option. Thanks!
