Check your Trimmer settings.

Also, what model of camcorder is your video coming from and what format and resolution is it?

What are your project properties?

My clips comes from my Sony Alpha NEX-5 Camera in 1440x1080 but the problem is on all my projects too, with videos from other cameras. On this project i use HDV 1080-24p. The program worked on yesterdays morning but in the evening the software stopped work.

24p for NEX-5? The Nex-5 records in the following formats -
AVCHD: 1920 x 1080/ 60i
MP4 HD: 1440 x 1080/ 30p MP4 VGA: 640 x 480/ 30p

Are you sure that you want to use 24p?

1. Are all video tracks greyed out or is there one that isn't?
2. Could you have muted multiple tracks?
3. Does this happen in a brand new project after rebooting the computer and VMS?

All tracks are greyed out and none of them are muted. I have tried to reboot the computer and start VMS again but none of this works.

The problem persists even on my old projects that has worked before.

Are you sure View->Video Preview is checked?
Is your Trimmer set to view in Preview and not the Trimmer?
Best thing is to upload a screenshot of your Vegas workspace.
It's a simple thing, I promise.
