I do get emails about offers and now i did get this:

http://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/index.php?id=461&L=52&_oB=movie-studio-platinum&phash=TtKi2aitZ0DZQdl11&utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=mail&utm_content=vms14&utm_campaign=IIusd_11_vcs_vms_a

Upgrade: VEGAS Movie Studio 14 PlatinumFor powerful video editing

SAVE $129

Version: Movie Studio Platinum $49.99

Regularly $179.98 Available until March 23, 2017

Problem is that i dont own any VEGAS Movie Studio, can i still buy and use this "Upgrade-offer" or does it requires that i have a previously version of Movie Studio installed on my pc ?

You could always try to see if "UPGRADE" accepts your order without a serial number of a previous version.

i got an answer from Magix in Germany so everything is fine :)

Hello,
Thank you for your message.

You do not need a previous version installed to run the software included in the upgrade offer.
It is a full standalone version of Movie Studio 14 Platinum.
If you've received the email, then you are eligible to take advantage of this offer.

That's the MAGIX definition of the "upgrade" then. Good for you. Wish all of us previous version users would have had as easy a way to get any kind of upgrade offer for the MVMS 14 product line. The only way for some of us ex-SCS customers has been to contact Customer Support. Why do we need to ask to be eligible?
