[PLEASE HELP] I forgot my authentication code!!!

I had sony vegas movie studio HD Platinum 11. one day when I got home I tried to open the program and it wouldnt open, I restarted my computer and nothing happend... It still wouldnt open. I decided to RE-install the program so I uninstall it and start reinstalling it. I have my registration code but when I go to install I need my authentication code. I started searching all aound my house and I cant find it. I have spent 2 weeks searching, and I cant find it... what do I do? did my 128 dollars go to waste? can I can't my authentication code online somehow? please help me! thanks!

This is an old thread and the reply above was relevant when Vegas / Movie Studio software was owned by Sony /SCS.
