Has anyone used the plugin search function successfully? I haven't used it before but I had occasion to search for a Video FX and couldn't get the search to do anything. I don't think I'm doing anything wrong. Maybe someone could try, and if successful, give me details of how you achieved it. I'm using Movie Studio Platinum 15 Build 116.

Just found that the search function works with Transitions and Media Generators but not with Video FX.
From online Help (VMS15P b 146) : "You can type in the Search plug-ins box to find plug-ins. For example, if you wanted to find a specific color-correction plug-in, you could type "color" in the box to display only plug-ins that include the term "color" in the plug-in name, description, or group name."
I vkmast. I searched and got 'wipe' (transition) and 'texture' (media generator) but couldn't get the search function to find 'cutter', or anything else (Video FX). No big deal, but I wonder why you can find it and not me?
Different builds? A long shot though.
Thanks. I was wondering about that. My system is very stable at the moment with all third party plugins working OK. I'm a little reluctant to risk messing up that stability just so that I am able to search the Video FX plugins. Maybe I'll pluck up the courage to install the latest build in the future, but not just yet.
