programme crashes during start-up

Hi, I have tried recommendations posted here to get App to start. They don't work for me on two different PCs. Have tried re-downloading, reinstalling and clearing cache.

The errors messages are as follows:

Problem Description
   Application Name:    Movie Studio Platinum
   Application Version: Version 17.0 (Build 143)
   Problem:             Unmanaged Exception (0xc0000005)
   Fault Module:        C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll

Does anyone know how to fix this. The App orginally worked for 2 days on one PC, then crashed and wouldn't restart.

Interestingly Movie Studio 16 works fine on the same computer.

How are those PC's?
Processor numbers, amount of memory, used GPU, a.s.o.

Did you download it from the link given on your order confirmation email from MAGIX?

Yes, both PCs more than adequate for the job and downloaded originally from the confirmation email and then directly from the download site several more times with confirmations of clean downloads and installations. Thank you.

If resetting did not work either, you may need to Ask Support.

You might check also the status of your activations on your MAGIX Account.

Yes, have tried all of that and have contacted Magix, they'll get back to me in the next 2-3 days. I just hoped I might be missing something obvious and easy to rectify. Thank you for your help.

I have a similar problem.. Movie Studio 16 stops installing and hangs at the "Creating windows..." part of the install process. I've done everything you can possibly do. I've removed a previous computer so that only two computers, and/or one computer would have a working copy. The screen with a serial number came up and auto populated the serial number along with my e-mail. I tried a re install several times, and that didn't make any difference. Used administrative privileges every chance I could. 30+ years experience with computers and never had this problem before.

I just downloaded the trial by curiosity (i'm running Vegas Pro 16) after watching the video of gary today about Vegas Pro 18, so wanted to see what was different in video studio and crashing at start up all the time.
which information are needed ?

i'm on Windows 10 x64 2004 version
vegas pro 16 work fine
32 Gb of ram (Gskill)
Cpu i7-7700
Gpu : Nvidia GT 640
Asrock H270 Mini Itx / AC MB
Renamed temporary Vstplugins folder from Steinberg/cubase, in case it was one of the plugins to do the crash, had no effect.

- Own the complete Red Giant Suite + some stuff from Hitfilm.
