I'm using VP16, Bld 352, and need to use a new font, named, "Astype-VTG Stencil OS NO72 Alt Rough.OTF." I installed it in C:/Windows/Fonts, and it appears in the MS Word font list and works. But after a few re-boots, chanting, and burnings of offerings, Vegas still doesn't see it in the Titles and Text font list.
Am I trying to use a verboten font? Or what?
Ok. I just figured out that if I use the "Legacy Text" plugin, it sees the new font, and works fine--to the extent that the clunky editing of the Legacy controls provide.
Anyone know why?
vkmast: It certainly does sound like the exact same problem. I suppose I should notify the Magix guys.
By the way, do you know of a better titler? Sounds like they were struggling back in 2014 with that very thing in the post you linked. I cannot figure out the NewBlue Pro Titler to save my soul. I sure would like to play with some nice, 3D, flying, chrome type once in a while.
