Question about Vegas "Black Firday Offer" !

Nizar-AbuZayyad wrote on 11/30/2024, 1:35 AM

I have a VEGAS 365 Pro subscription, which I renewed in August for $300. Now, I see the same package on the VEGAS website priced at $59 and 83$ (Pro 365 and Pro Suite 365). Does this mean I can purchase it at this lower price and use the new serial number for another year after my current subscription ends next June? Also, why is there such a significant price difference—from $300 to $59? Am I doing something wrong when renewing my subscription each year? I'm wondering why I'm paying this amount whenever I renew.

Please note that "The offer price is valid for the first 12 months after purchase. From the 13th month, the regular retail price (RRP) applies again."

Based on @vkmast 's reference, I'd hazard a guess that if you took up the Black Friday offer, you'd then have two concurrent subscriptions each of which you'd be paying for.

 Also, why is there such a significant price difference—from $300 to $59?

That's Black Friday and marketing in the 21st century! Keep in mind that low intro-pricing is likely often designed to get new customers on to the 'hamster wheel' of years of full-cost subscription pricing thereafter.

@vkmast To clarify, does the subscription period commence upon payment and receipt of the serial number via email, regardless of immediate use? Specifically, will it expire one year from that point even if unused?

@Dexcon
It's quite frustrating to observe varying prices throughout the year, including non–Black Friday periods, yet face the full or even higher price at renewal. I'm questioning whether I'm utilizing the full value of my current plan or if a downgrade is more appropriate. Primarily, I use only VEGAS for video editing, accessing stock footage, and employing AI tools like text-to-voice and voice-to-text. I dont use any other softwares from the vegas pro post 365 / Which bundle would best suit these needs? Paying approximately $300 annually feels excessive, and without future discounts, I doubt I'll renew next year.

I personally hold out until Black Friday where sales abound all over the place. BorisFX Continuum is one of them I wait for.

And while I agree with you about the price change, the same can be said about any software. Buy "day 1" and you pay to be on the cutting edge. I tend to wait. I know sales are coming for everything in a few months. But then, buying at the beginning of the release affords me the chance to use the software all of those months.
