Hi. I'm interested in VP 15 and need some feedback before jumping in.

First some background... I've been shooting and editing video for the last 20 years. My first video editors were modest and then I switched to Premiere in 2001. I'm not a pro, but I have some experience with better quality video editors. What's important to me is a good quality editor that has sophisticated features, is relatively stable, and is easy to use. It looks like Vegas Pro is my best choice. So on to the key questions...

It looks like VP16 will be out in the next month or so. And there is an free VP 16 upgrade offer for current customers who upgrade from a prior version to VP 15. However, there doesn't seem to be a free VP 15 to VP 16 upgrade offer for NEW customers. Does this offer exist?

On Amazon, VP15 WITHOUT Boris Continuum Image Restoration and proDAD Mercalli V4 for $285 USD. On the VP site, it's $399 WITH Boris Continuum and proDAD Mercalli. Are these two packages worth the extra $115?

I'd like to move quickly because I have a couple of projects that I need to work on. I'd appreciate any feedback.
