Registration

Registration no longer works with older versions. So if you purchased a version of Sony Vegas, and heaven forbid you move or buy a new computer guess what.......that's right you can't use your software anymore cuz you can't register it. My advice to all my friends family and anyone reading this post....BUY ADOBE PREMIERE PRO, AVID, OR FINAL CUT PRO....NEVER BUY SONY ANYTHING

Sony no longer owns Vegas software, but Sony versions can now be registered at https://www.magix.com/us/support/my-service-center/

Further advice in one of Grandmaster Nick's invaluable FAQs (section 3.). Btw, I recently moved about a dozen SCS programs to a new computer without too much trouble.

I moved Vegas Pro 9, DVDA, CDA, SF Pro 10 & 11 to a new Win 10 laptop and all registered ok through Magix. The only problem I had was the (common) 'administrative privileges' issue with SF 11 after a Win 10 update. The registry tweak took care of it.
