Render Settings?

Hello:
I am new to Movie Studio. I have a 1.5 hour video ready to render. I will be eventually be using DVD Architect to author it. I rendered the production with MPEG 2 and default settings for DVD architect. The final file is 5.1 gig. That is too large for DVD A and it will not let me fit to disc. Please advise how I can reduce the site of the final Mpeg file. I suspect I am missing something on the setup.

Thanks:

Rich

Use a bitrate calculator and adjust the MPEG-2 bitrate in Vegas accordingly.

You can just press the Make Movie button and target DVD Architect and not worry about any of it. That's the beauty of Movie Studio; you need to calculate anything. It will do it all for you. If you really must do it yourself then musicvid10 is correct, use a bitrate calculator.

I did that and the file still came out to 5.1 gig. It's only a 1.5 hour program. Am I missing a setting?

Thanks

Correction:
When I used the "Make Movie" Function, I was saving it to the hard drive instead of directly to DVD. I will try that later today.

Thanks
