Rendering HD vid runs out of memory

I'm trying to render a 4:00 video with multiple HD clips from our family vacation shot on an Iphone 4 (.mov files). I have an I7 with 16 gigs of RAM running Sony Movie Studio 10 build 179. It says I'm out of system memory after it renders about 50 seconds of the video.

Does movie studio just not have the capacity to handle this much HD? I can't imagine it is my computer.

Does anyone know if I upgrade to 11, if this has been solved. I don't want to spend more money on this program if it just can't handle HD .mov files.

I remember some talk about a memcap fix on vegas movie studio. Maybe that might help with your problem. However, I cannot find the post that explained how to implement this.
Maybe someone else still has the original post or an explanation on how to do this.

Expanding the RAM was perfect. Thank you kindly!

Hi there,

You already had 16 Gig of RAM and after expending your RAM the problem was solved? How much RAM memory do you now have?

He was talking about the RAM available to MSP 10.
32 bit -vs- 64 bit
Pls read the linked threads.
