Rendering query

I have rendered a movie and published it to a disc using DVDA. If I want to burn the same movie to another disc at a different computer session, does it have to be rendered again, even if I have made no changes to it? If not, how do I go about producing a second disc without having to go through the rendering process? (These are probably very simple questions, so thanks for your patience)

In DVD A (you have Studio), Make DVD and Burn a Previously prepared folder. Browse to find the folder you need.

Thanks for the advice. When I browse to the folder I need, is this folder the file I have saved in Movie Vegas or is it saved in DVDA? I cannot find it in the DVDA folder!

Maybe in DVD A you somehow saved it as a folder with a different name like UntitledSomething?

I think this must be the problem - when I save a project in Vegas I give it a name but sometimes when I then move on to DVDA it appears there as Untitled, which seems illogical. I then get asked if i want to save the Untitled file. I now say Yes to this and save it with a name in the Architect folder. Not sure if this is the most efficient way to do it, but it seems to work.

When you have it in DVD A, why not save it with a similar name?

I suppose this makes more sense. Thanks for staying with me on this one.

Vegas projects and DVDAS projects are completely separate things. When you start up DVDAS with the rendered file from Vegas you are starting a new, unnamed project.

Personally, i never use the default save locations. I always create specific folders for the purpose I have something like this set up:

G:\capture\ ... with folders for each project when i'm capturing or importing from the camera
I also save the Vegas project files in those folders

F:\dvd\ ... with folders for each rendering, like F:\dvd\saras_birthday
When i prepare the DVD i put that under the dvd project folder
F:\dvd\saras_birthday\dvd_preparewhich ends up containing the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders.

After that i use Nero (or, insert your favorite disc burning program here) to burn the VIDEO_TS folder to disc. I do this for two reasons: i like having the verification pass after burning which DVDAS doesn't do, and DVDAS' burning doesn't always produce a usable disc.
