Rendering Vertical Videos in Movie Studio 16.0

Steve-Burnett wrote on 4/12/2021, 7:58 AM

Hi,

I'm really hoping someone can help.

I'm using Movie Studio in 16.0 and have the project settings set for vertical format, I've cropped all my clips to fit in that format etc....

And yet there are zero rendering options that cater to the vertical format! And there seems to be no option to customise or create one. Don't get me wrong, I hate vertical video, but with social media as it is, there really should be an easy option for this.

Please help!

Thanks in advance,

Steve.

I feel your pain. :) Use Render As and change MAGIC AVC/AAC Internet HD 1080p 29.97 to 1080X1920. I'm MSP16 build 167 and can't save the custom setting (an asterisk is added after customizing). So have to redo after every restart.

Please note also that only the Platinum version of VMS has the option to customise templates as the OP has found out.

Oops, my mistake. Too early in the a.m. to pay attention to details. :)

Thanks everyone for the info -- so it's a platinum thing... FFS. I can't believe this isn't included in the standard version. It's such a basic requirement and I can't believe any paid software wouldn't have it.
