As long as your CPU has sufficient cooling, it shouldn't be an issue. Do you have a dedicated video card, or is the video built into your CPU? There are options for nVidia graphics cards and built in Intel on-board video to get the GPU to assist with rendering. If you have either of those, is the option turned on?

ASUS Prime Z590-A Motherboard with Intel Core i7 11700 8 Core / 16 Thread 2.50GHZ, 64GB Crucial DDR4 3200 (4 x 16GB), nVidia GeForce RTX5060 8GB GDDR7, SoundBlaster X AE5 soundcard, 3 x 4TB Samsung 860 EVO SATA 3 SSD, 2 x 8TB Samsung 870 QVO SATA 3 SSD, 1 x 2TB Samsung 980 Pro NVME PICE4 SSD, 2 X WD 4 TB NVME PCIE3 SSD, 2 X Viewsonic HD monitors, LG Blu-Ray writer. Windows 11 (latest build), currently using Vegas Pro 22 latest build, and limited VP23 use to gauge performance and ease of use differences. Videos come from 2 x Sony HDR CX-405 Cameras, XAVC-S MP4 @ 50Mbps 1080P 60fps video files. (Previously: 2 x Canon HFR800 cameras, MP4 files at 1920 x 1080 60p 35Mbps).

Meant cpu.. but i do have a dedicated video card. And i dont think i follow, but iv seen videos where people change settings before rendering. I can not make these changes. I am using basic Movie Studio 17. My card I believe is GeForce RTX 2060 Super and also AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8 core for specs.

You need Movie Studio Platinum in order to be able to customise render settings. The basic version is, in my opinion, very restrictive.

Oh ok I see that now. Thank you for help. I guess it would be better to upgrade to Platinum to help my situation? Since the rendering has been my only concern. Also, can I upgrade with a discounted cost or will it still be near full price? I guess too if i upgrade will i still be able to use/ work on older videos or will I need to redo the work on them?

Not sure if the serial number of the basic version, i.e. VMS 17 qualifies for the special upgrade pricing of VMS 17 Platinum. If your purchase is a recent one, you might try and cancel your order and then get the Platinum instead.

And you should still be able to use those .vf projects you've made.
