Saving templates in Movie Studio 12

Ashjuk wrote on 11/13/2015, 7:25 AM
I can't seem to save a rendering template.
I have modified an existing template to uprate the audio quality and have entered a new name for it.
I then click on the disc icon to save it with the new name and it appears in the list with a (*) after the name. I can use the new template to render a project so it appears to work OK.
If I close the program the next time I go to render a project there is no sign of the modified template I saved last time.
I have looked in the Project Templates folder and there is no sign of my new template so it's obviously not getting saved.
Any ideas?

I can't help you solve your issue, other than, my MS12 build 1184 64 bit, saves templates fine. They do fall to the bottom of the list, but I'm sure you know that.

Another thought.....have you checked the "More filter options" in Render As, your custom template may just be hiding, depending on the options you have selected in the More filter options.

Getting the same as Eagle Six.
Check that the filters are off and double-check your workflow.

Thanks George.

I did scroll all through the templates and could not see it, but I will have another good look and make sure the "More filter options" are not hiding it.

I had another search of my PC and I did come across the saved template in \AppData\Roaming\Sony\Render Templates\avc-sony - but I've no idea why it appears not to be visible in the application.

That would imply that a filter is hiding it.....
