Serial number attached to a different product?

I just bought Sony vegas pro 17 from amazon and I was going through the install process when i get to the mini window where I put my serial number an email in to verify the product. I did it but now when I try to boot it up it still takes me to that window to verify the serial number and it says its already in use or attached to a different product. I even got an email saying thank you for registering it but now I cant even use it. Please help

There is no Sony Vegas Pro 17 only Vegas Pro 17 from Magix. Which version i.e. Edit, Pro or Pro Suite? Other than with Edit you probably got DVDA with it which has a separate serial number. Check you are not using that number by mistake.

Is it a new or used product that you purchased?

Its a brand new product I bought through Amazon. And to answer your question yes it is Vegas Pro 17

Are you sure that there are no typing errors and the serial number is for that program? If so, try and Ask Support.
