Error 14 indicates that the serial used is for a different product. Example: If you enter your VEGAS serial into DVD Architect, you would receive error 14.

If you need assistance troubleshooting the issue, please create a support ticket and provide us the serial you are entering, as well as the name and version of the software you are activating.

From the https://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/us/ web site, hover over SUPPORT and choose Customer Service.  
Click the button for GO TO THE FAQS PAGE.
Click the FIND A SOLUTION button.
Click Technical problems / Errors.
Click the product you are using from the choices provided. 
A list of answers for different issues will appear.  
If none of those address the issue click SEARCH FOR OTHER SOLUTIONS.
Type the issue you are experiencing into the search bar provided.  
Click FIND A SOLUTION. 
Click SEND A SUPPORT REQUEST.
Log into your support account.
Type the description of the issue.  
Click CONTINUE.
Fill in the information requested on the next page and click SUBMIT SUPPORT REQUEST.
