No need to delete the old one.

What's the difference on this newer build?

Hi.

The Release Notes on the SCS Download Updates page may be helpful. I haven't updated yet, still on build 220.

Release notes only go up to 247, and nothing on 256.

Hi.

From the Notes:
2.0 What’s New
Notable fixes/changes in version 11.0 (Build 256)

* Fixed a bug that could cause a crash when displaying event properties for 3D clips from a Sony TD10 camera.
* Fixed a bug that could cause text from the Titles & Text plug-in to drift after dragging the text in the Video Preview window.
* Fixed a bug that could cause line breaks in the Titles & Text plug-in to preview with incorrect line spacing.
* Fixed a bug that could cause an error when rendering a Sony AVC file with a bit rate of less than 25 Mbps.
* Fixed a bug that could cause MVC clips from a Sony TD10 camera to be imported incorrectly from the Device Explorer.
* Fixed a bug that could cause Vegas Movie Studio to hang when previewing MTS files in the Trimmer window.
* Added Russian-language support to Vegas Movie Studio HD.

Notable fixes/changes in version 11.0 (Build 247)

* The Burn Blu-ray Disc feature has been updated for compliance with the Blu-ray Disc specification. You can render 3D projects to a Blu-ray 3D Disc image file (.iso) from the timeline (Tools > Burn Disc > Blu-ray Disc). This feature is intended for commercial BD-ROM preparation testing.

I have to say that I am positively impressed by the number of patches released by Sony.
The SW is now very stable and many issues have been fixed.
Thumbs up!

It doesn't say anything about compatibility with 64-bit systems, does anyone know if those bugs are fixed?
Roberto65 wrote on 11/2/2011, 5:11 PM
So far I had to patch all the Sony releases with the MemCap fix.
I do not expect this one will be different... :-(
Anyway, it is just 5 mins task...

@vkmast while updating from 220 to 256 I lost the contents of the Help wizard, so I had to uninsatall and reinstall, now it seems ok. The update from 247 to 256 presumably does not cause any loss.

Hi Ninan

Yes I saw the other thread comments on those updates. Good to know.
