@eddie-becker That's not Warp Flow, that's 3D Fly in/out, it says at the bottom of your pic,

see in my pic, & Warp Flow is further down,

Try going to C:\Users\your name\AppData\Local\VEGAS Pro\19.0 select & delete everything, next time you open Vegas it will take a little longer but all those files will be recreated & Vegas will load all the correct plugins & transitions,

Gid, thanks for your help and your patience. I deleted everything per your instructions. Restarted, witnessed the file rebuild, attempted the smart split again, same warp flow error message. Searched the transitions window, but the warp flow transition is not in the transition menu! My version of Vegas Pro 19 was a recent reinstall - I uninstalled the previous version 19 and reinstalled it about a week ago.

jetdv, thanks for the suggestion. Deep Learning was Already installed but ran it again anyway, It uninstalled the already installed deep learning program, So I ran it again, and it reinstalled it. But I'm still getting the old error message "Could not find the \'transition Smart split still works on by VP18 but not VP19!

If that transition is not appearing in VEGAS, I'd next try clearing the cache in VEGAS.

jetdv Many thanks, Unable to open the cache box - is there any other way to delete the cache? Close VEGAS, go to c:\Users\{user name}\AppData\Local\VEGAS Pro\{version #} and delete plugin_manager_cache.bin and svfx.plugin_cache.bin.

Then restart VEGAS.

My mistake in deleting the cache was that I did not hold ctrl + shift through the entire bootup. thanks

@eddie-becker, there's no way people on the forum can tell you why that transition is not visible on your system.

On my new machine, I installed VEGAS Pro 19. I also installed the "Deep Learning" tools. That transition is visible to me.

Magix Support had me download an earlier version of Vegas Pro 19 before the 643 build - it worked. I was able to do Smart Splits - but going back in versions is not a very elegant solution. I asked if the defect was in my computer setup or with Magix VP Build 643 - but I have not heard back!

Regrettably, Gid, after the update to 643, both as an add-on to the previous version and also as a complete install, the Warp Flow/Smart Splits are undoable. Have others with just VP 19 V643 edit - been unable to do Smart Splits?

As SmartSplit uses the Warp Flow transition, which is only available in VegasPro and not in VegasEdit, it seems obvious that it's not possible to do a SmartSplit with VegasEdit.

I've got Vegas Edit 19 (b643 and each earlier build of VP19) and Warp Flow is definitely included as a VFX - and I've used it in VP19 Edit.

The question that has not been asked so far is what are the specs of the OP's computer. Do they meet the minimum specs for VP19 as per https://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/us/specifications/#productMenu ?

If Warp Flow is based on AI (i.e. Deep Learning Models - and it does need to be version 19.3.0.0 for VP19 b643 as highlighted earlier by @jetdv) - and if the computer is not a fairly recent unit, AI based VX may not appear or work as I found with VP18 on its release 2 years with a computer that was quite below the minimum recommended specs for VP18 (the same specs as for VP19 as I recall).

@3POINT Warp Flow is available in all versions of VEGAS Pro 19 including "VEGAS Edit". Every version of 19 has the same base product. The differences are in what's additionally included (i.e. VEGAS Stream, Boris, Post products).

Many thanks for all the comments. I believe my computer exceeds the minimum requirements to handle VP19 - attached specs below. Smart Split worked on my computer on all the earlier versions of VP19 and VP18, VP17 but not with the current and latest VP19 update, version 643!
Neal Siddell, Support manager at Vegas Pro, was unable to help with V 643; his final suggestion was to return me to an earlier version - build 550 (Update 4) - that worked. But I would like to know if my computer setup is the problem or if other folks are also having this issue with Version VP19 V643.
Can anyone with v643 test Smart Split on their system and let me know if it works - you HAVE to be running Vegas Pro 19 v643? Gary Rubholtz with Vegas Creative Software can show you how make a Smart Split if you need a quick tutorial
Probably RogerS, or anyone else running just VP19 v 643 but not other contributors on Vegas Pro/Post 19 OR Vegaspro365+.

I am having the same problem. It started with v643. Also missing are the GPU effects, colorization, style transfer, basically all the deep learning stuff. I know deep learning is installed.
