So many different transitions!

Using Vegas Movie Studio 16, I'm overwhelmed at all the transitions available. Mine has 90 and some of them have interesting variations within them (saw a tutorial that turned the Star Wipe to create a Border Wipe.)
Has anyone simply taken two photos and created a tutorial to show what each of the transitions can do? It seems like an easy & fun one to make... for someone who's not a beginner!
Love to see one, and I imagine others would also.
If you're up for it, consider it the Covid Challenge! 😇 ... and then let me know. Thanks.

VMS16 Platinum has 25 transitions, plus variations within them. If you have 90 then presumably you have many Third Party ones, NewBlue etc. Be warned that what comes with one version of VMS may not work with the next, as you may have gathered from posts here on this forum.

Yes, I've seen that some simply don't seem to do anything and others want me to signup with a 3rd party... not sure how they got added in or how to remove them. I guess I just learn which ones I want to try out.

Unfortunately, even the ones that come with it (I guess) have many variations -- some that seem to work and others not sure. I doubt I'll be able to figure out the many variations (I've tried with some and nothing happens).

What tutorial you need about transitions? Take two photos, apply one transition and explore it's settings to see what they do.

Eric, VMS16P has 90, with the NB ones.

AFAIK, NewBlue Transitions 5 Ultimate came bundled with VMS 16 Platinum. You should be able to see a short preview of transitions if you move your mouse over the thumbnails. And hold down Ctrl, position the mouse cursor over the window; and use the scroll wheel to increase or decrease the thumbnail display. I just tested this again in both MS 16 and MSP 16.

Note that "“Apps & features” is an option available on Windows 10 Settings app. Once opened, “Apps & features” provide a list of all applications that are installed on the system and allow the user to Move, Modify or Uninstall them. Thus, it's similar to the Add/Remove Programs on Control Panel."

Note also this in MS/MSP 17: "Improved Video FX, Transitions and Media Generator windows: Effects can be filtered by category and provider, you can search for an effect name and mark favorites to quickly find your favorite effect."

P.S. Surprisingly, the NB walkthrough tutorial linked above mentions "Sony Vegas" as a compatible software.
