Some Missing Audio Effects

mabs-s wrote on 4/17/2021, 8:30 AM

Hello! Today I was just using Vegas Pro 16 and I just realized the first day I downloaded it, my Vegas Pro 16 doesn't have audio plugins like: "ExpressFX, Vibrato, Distortion and Resonant Filter. And every one has it but me! Now I feel down when I don't have these plugins I wanted. Please help me! What should I do!? 😡😡 Thanks!

@Dexcon actually, "and I just realized the first day I downloaded it"...

And in my VEGAS Pro 16 they seem to be native VEGAS.

The Express FX plugs are Direct X (not VST).
When choosing an Fx plug-in, select the 'Vegas' or 'All' folders .

I am not totally sure they are included natively with VP, you may have to have Sound Forge Pro installed, if they are only included in that package and not VP.

On my PC, the Express FX plugs are available in VP-16 as well as on the multple versions of SF Pro I have installed (SFP 10>15).

Here exactly as with @j-v. (In my VMSP 11 under "Sony" as well.)

Thanks for giving me details! I understand. But where I get Direct FX download or Sound Forge from?

vkmast wrote on 4/19/2021, 3:10 AM

I'm not sure either if they came with a version of Sound Forge or not. On an older machine I have only a version of SF Audio Studio and those plugins show up there as well. (This ancient comment may not be correct or things have changed since then.)

Same here, as I previously stated. The Express FX plug-ins may very well only be included with Sound Forge, but are available in VP once installed. Maybe someone who never had Sound Forge could look if they are in VP.
