Sound Peak not building

I can play the clip from the folder and hear the sound. When I load it in to Sony Vegas 14 timeline
it does not attempt to build the peak. The audio box does appear on the time line but there is zero sound waves in the box.

Which build of Magix Vegas Pro 14 do you use?

Do you hear the sound in your Magix Vegas Pro 14? If so, check View > Audio Event Waveforms.

I do not hear the sound at all. I can load up clips that I shot in the past and get a sound wave. However the new clips that I shot this past week won't play audio. I'm so confused. I even plugged the card reader directly to my computer and tried to open my files from the card reader and I got the same results. :-(
