Standardized Benchmark Project?

I was wondering if there is a project file that's all zipped up that I could use to do benchmarking with on Vegas. I just upgraded from 13 to 14 to 15 and I have all three installed and would LOVE to get lost in a fun deep benchmarking session and then possibly organize a sheet or something to record other people's results.

OR, could I simply attempt to create a project or set of project files that kinda covers the gamut of effects and titles and the like with different resolutions and frame rates? (I'm not sure my ADHD will let me retain the interest for this idea though)

Oh, also, I forgot to introduce myself! I'm a recent Adobe defector :-P after looking at the price I was paying for Creative Cloud I decided to cancel it and go back to the first video editing program that I ever used and legitimately purchase a licence instead of using an old Sony Vegas 13 install. So far I'm loving that I actually OWN the program instead of doing a monthly payment that adds up to insanity. The NVENC works great but I still just export to MAGICYUV and then use MEGUI to get my x264 goodness. Haven't noticed any issues with 14 or 15 yet.

MY Specs (for the curious)

  • Intel Core i7 8700k @ 5GHz (delidded and IHS replaced with a copper IHS replacement)
  • 32GB DDR4-2800
  • 480GB SSD & 960GB SSD & I do bulk video work over LAN to my Drobo5N that has two 4TB HDDs (WD RED)
  • EVGA Nvidia GTX 1080Ti FTW3 (overclocked to 2000 on the core)
  • Windows 10 Insider Preview (Fast Ring, Skip Ahead) 17650.rs_prerelease.180414-2140

Try to make your post as clear and understandable as possible.

yeah, sure, i did that i guess LOL

search for “SCS Benchmark project” it is what we all used in the past but it’s rather large, 1+GB.

Link in point 29 here. You may need to be patient when you try.

If that project doesn't stress your system enough, or if you want a 4k version of the same thing, OldSmoke gave some instructions here for a way to convert that project to 4k, along with a few results: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/pc-refresh-question--107053/#ca662799
