Storing SFK and SFL files in global location

By default, .SFK and .SFL files are stored in the same directory as the file(s) that you are editing.

I get sick of these files cluttering up the current directory.

Is it possible to specify a global area to store/use these? For example, something like C:\VEGAS_SFL_SFK_Files ? That way, all the metadata would be hidden out of site.

I get rid of them using a small program called "everything" (Everything Search Engine). For the instructions see:

Problem with a global location is that the subsidiary files have the same name as the parent file. What if you have different parent files in different project folder that have the same name? You'd have to come up with some new naming or directory structure that would allow that.

Keeping them in the same directory as the parent files avoids that problem.
