This has to be done in the editing programme (Sony Vegas) and I don't think you can get DVDA to do it for you. Look for guidance under "Lower Thirds" or "Subtitles" in the help file, the manual or the Vegas forum.

Thanks Richard.
There is nothing on either lower thirds or subtitles in the help file of the version I am using (Vegas platinum v11).

disgruntled,
read
How can I put subtitles in with Vegas (MS) 11.0
but read
this one as well.
This site's Support / Training has e.g. this article you could read

Are you using the Studio versions of Vegas/DVD Architect? I don't think DVD Architect Studio does subtitles.

Thank you VKMAST.
I see from one of the links that subtitles is not available in DVD architect 5 so that answers my question.

Thank you to all who have answered.

Thank You Steve.
VKMAST had a link in his reply that says that subtitles are not available in DVD Architect.

DVD Arch Pro includes options for subtitles, alternative video tracks and several alternative audio (languages, commentary, etc.), FWIW.

Steve, thanks for the info. Its a bit expensive for the couple of times I would use it.
I'll probably download the demo version when I am ready and try to do it before the trial period expires.

Once again, many thanks.

Glad I could help, disgruntled.

Meantime, if you're interested, I've got a free 3 part Basic Training tutorial series for DVD Architect Studio 5 on my site.

And I'm currently developing a new course on DVD Architect Pro for lynda.com.

Take care and happy moviemaking!
