Hi everyone,

This message may have been more appropriate in the Off Topic section, but this section is where most of the action has been, so I'm posting here. This is not an "official" post from MAGIX, rather a personal note from me. I want to wish you all the best for the new year and thank you for your passion and commitment over the years, but especially over these past several months as we've gone through the transition of ownership for the VEGAS line. As with any transition, we've had some bumps along the way, but the help and engagement in this community remains amazing. I've appreciated all of your comments--whether gushing with praise or dripping with rage!--because it shows just how passionate this community is. I wouldn't trade you all for any other group! Keep engaged and keep holding us up to the high standards you demand. I promise that our team will do our best to live up to those standards and hopefully exceed your expectations.

Thank you Gary and the development team. And thank you to the support team on this forum. I regard Vegas as the Meccano Set of NLEs - the solution to my current problem may not be obvious but there's plenty of tools to work with. There are newer arrivals which are more like the Lego of NLEs - they look pretty and make it easy to perform certain preselected tasks - provided someone has built that specific Lego block and made it available. I hope to still be using Vegas 5 years from now and wish the development team the luck and resources you need to keep it on its initial trajectory.
