The upgrade process for Vegas Pro 14 to 15

bill-kranz wrote on 9/4/2017, 8:52 PM

Forum:

I would like to do this upgrade cycle at the $249.00 price but will miss that deadline.

That being the situation, do I have to wait until the time frame for Vegas Pro 16 and go for that discount? Or am I stuck with buying at the full price?

Hope you can help me understand this.

Thanks,

Bill

"Past performance is not an indicator of future" but in the past (incl. MVP 14) there have been new upgrade offers with new deadlines. The extra(s) such as the current Boris unit may not be the same though. In addition, I'd assume the "regular upgrade price" (without extras) will be available permanently.

Last year, Magix offered an upgrade deal for $149 on Black Friday....maybe they will do it this year?

Okay thanks for the ideas on what may happen. Since the offer is ending pretty soon I'll just look into it after that first deadline and see what they are saying. I do not need the extras. I can wait another year if need be also.

Thanks again!

I was hoping that for folks who just purchased Vegas14 without a short time window (e.g. the last 3 months) they'd be offered free upgrades to Vegas15 -- this has been fairly typical policy for other software companies.

So far I haven't seen anything like this... anyone else?

Didn't you get an email from Magix advising of the upgrade? The one I got says $199 until 9-13-17. Maybe you could contact them about that.

Karma 17 - My offer was after I closed out using their software from them it says $249.00 with the Boris whatever 3D option. I will investigate the possible $199.00 option however. Thanks!!

Sorry, I should clarify the $199 was for the Vegas Pro Edit, but included Boris whatever. I think the $249 includes DVD Architect, which I'm content with the old version. I got the email on Aug 31 if that helps.

Plus you can get another 20 bucks off from retailers, so EDIT 15 is $179 FYI

Karma17 and Knivermark:

Thanks for that information. I have sent Magix a email about the upgrade prices.
