Hello everyone. So I was trying to edit a video for someone and I wanted to decrease the volume of the song so that it doesn't overpower someone talking. When I try to add the volume plugin in order to decrease the volume, it gave me this error message. How do I fix it?
I don't know what that plugin is, but you don't need a plug in to lower volume. Vegas has built in tools, specifically the Volume Envelopes that will allow you to do this.

I use the volume envelope feature extensively.. not to mention automation in general. Unfortunately Vegas cannot nativity side-chain compressors and such... dispute forks requesting the feature since the (audio-only) Vegas was initially published in 1999. There are third-party plug-ins and scripts avaibble though, Drawing the envelopes manually is usually the most accurate and best sounding.
