Thumbnail help

I use DVD ARC and have 3 Videos on my Menu.

And I have each Thumbnail set to display a Frame of the Movie.

And it looks good and works but one thing I do not understand?

I go to hand type a number in to re size each Thumbnail.

And yes the Box that says Keep Aspect Ratio I have set to YES.

Now if I type say 300 in the X box the size of the Thumbnail will chancge.
And if I type a number in the Y Box the size will change.

And yes I get that the X and Y are for Width and Height and if I change one the other will change to keep it in the Rite Aspact Ratio.

But if I type 300 for the Height it does get Higher but the little Frame around my Thumbnail will stratch very far out to each side.

I hope I am explainning it right?

If I type a number for the Hight it does get Taller and the Width will Auto Ajust as well and all looks good but the Outline of the Frame always is very very Wide across.

Can you grab the handles of the frame and resize them?

Yes if I grab the handels I can Drag and re size it this way and everything gets re sized and the little outline around the Frame stays very close to the Thumbnail.

But if I use the Numbers for the X and Y size Box it make the Outline around the Thumbnail get very very far away from the Thumbnail why?

900,
when you use the numbers for the X and Y size box, the Outline around the Thumbnail does not get very very far way from the Thumbnail, if you also change Maintain aspect ratio to "No".
But you do not probably want that to happen.

As sometimes suggested here, the Help menu in DVD Architect is actually useful.
There you can read more on Resizing in Editing menu objects > Resizing objects.

Ok I do set keep aspect Ratio to YES.

Because I only have to ajust Height or Width and the other goes along it's self to keep the aspect Ratio.

But if I type a number for the Height the Height and Width do change.

But the Outline for the Width gets stratched out very far.

The Thumbnail looks greate and is all in the right Ratio just the Width Outline gets stratched out side toi side very far.

Does this help?

Try this.....

1) Select the title from the Project View. This will select both the thumbnail and text portion of the button.

2) Before dragging a corner to resize the button, hold down the CTRL key, this will force the aspect ratio to remain the same.

It should be easier than entering the X size and Y size values.

Ok I think I understand what is going on.

The Outline I am seeing aroung my Thumbnails must be a Text Box. And when I enter a number to make the Thumbnail biger the Text box Get bigger with it.

But the Text Box always gets way Bigger then the Thumbnail.

How can I get the Vieo clip to show as just a Thumbnail image?

I have just been openning a video clip in the screen and then Deletting the Text Box.

But I gess this is not the right way.
