Click the first one, shift-click the last one, press G to group them, place the cursor at then end, hold down the Ctrl button and drag the entire sequence backwards to the desired length.
There's no need to render this out as a DV-AVI (in Best mode) unless you want to use it in another video.

I find this trick particularly useful when I'm creating slide shows with music.
I pick a song and drop the required images on the timeline.
I have my prefs set to 3 sec./image.
If this turns out to be just a bit too short or too long, I use this trick to get all the images to the exact length of the song :-)

@vkmast, calling me a classic means that I'm old - which, at 68, I guess I am 😉
