Timeline issue : "ghost" of track number 2 visible on track number 1

judelaw wrote on 11/24/2018, 8:24 AM

Good evening everyone, I noticed a problem today on my timeline. I use to think that the video track on top will fully hide any track that is below it. But today I discovered that it doesn't fully, I see a bit of the tracks below on my preview window, something like a ghost image for instance if the track on top is a dark scene and the track on the bottom has some bright whites. I could just mute the tracks below of course, but it's not convenient for my work flow and working habits. Is there a way to avoid that ?

Check to make sure that the opacity of the top track is at 100%. This is a very common thing that happens.

I checked, and opacity on all events are at 100% opacity. Another weird thing is that I never noticed before that this opacity envelope existed on events.

(I use Vegas pro 13)

edit : What are these : "Compositing mode" and "Source Alpha" ?

Did you also check the opacity on the track level? There is a slider for it in the track header.

After you've had a good night's sleep, you might read all that's included under the heading "Compositing and Masks". It's a section in the online Help (F1) of Vegas Pro 13.
