Transition - red marker

Ross-Jackson wrote on 7/16/2021, 4:47 AM

I am placing transitions in my learning videos. Cross effect - Default ,none. All looks ok. However, on a few of the events I can see red markers. They correspond to the same number (negative) and appear in the video track and Audio track. Can anyone tell me what they are, and what I have done wrong.

Amendment. (Video track is negative -15.2, Sound track is positive +15.2)

Thank you

Regards

Ross

I believe that somehow you have separated the sound from the video and then moved one or the other on the timeline. The video is showing -15.12 because it is behind the sound and the sound is showing +15.12 because it is infront of the video. If you click on the front of the video you will see that the sound does not line up.

Somehow the video and sound of your first clip have become mis-aligned.

Woohoo. Thank you vkmast and set.

You even miss basic editing: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/tutorials/titles-text-and-transitions--105899/

Thank you all. Job done. Looks good now. Well, to me at least.

I had made cross fade and inserted another cross fade. Removed all insertions and started again by moving as directed.

Thanks @set for highlighting the Snipping Tool. I've been using the keyboard PrtScr to OneDrive for ages and then editing when necessary in PaintShop. Snipping is so much easier.

You're welcome @Dexcon. actually it's my elder brother who prefer doing that. I don't even know previously. Just like you, many years ago I also PrtScr and goto Photoshop crop 😅 etc.

Right now I have been used to https://www.screenpresso.com/ which is even faster attempt. (thanks to NickHope who suggest that)
