Trim Event cursor no margin for error in new Platinum 14. Setting?

Hey all,

Upgraded from Movie Studio Platinum 13 to 14. In v13, the trim event cursor (also, fade and compress cursors) had a wide margin for error from the start or end of the clip. In v14, you need to have the cursor right on the edge of the clip, otherwise it will turn into the "hand" cursor. Is there a setting I can change to widen this margin so I can get back to faster editing?

Many many thanks for any input or help with this. I spend a good 4 hours per day editing and v13 was far more efficient for me.

Have you tried to use the Split Trim Tool or Trim Start/Trim End?

I haven't found a way to change the "margin for errors" with the small trim/fade handles which were brought back with MVMSP 14. As for the large blue Trim and Fade handles in SMSP 13, they probably dropped them because there was a need for workarounds in some cases. The Expand Track Layers option, which helped then, was dropped from MVMSP 14 probably due to product differentiation concerns.
