Trimming Mode

When I try to open up a file in the trimmer mode, it now opens it in multiple frames. I used to open up a file in trimmer and it was only in one screen. Meaning I could play and pull out specific trims to the timeline. Now when I open a file up in the trimmer it shows these multiple split screens and when I press the play button, I cant even see it playing. Not sure I am explaining this right..

What version of Movie Studio. I never use the trimmer so can't really help you. However, if you could take a screen shot, post it somewhere and provide a link to it, maybe someone can help you.

Have you tried doing a "trimmer" search?

Does right clicking on the trimmer and UNselecting show video monitor help at all? It should also deselect 'Show video frames' in the same menu.

I tried right clicking on trimmer. Both of the items you suggested are not highlighted - meaning I cant select or deselect them. Although I do think that may be the issue. How would I un select them when they are not highlighted? thanks for your help~

see that you've checked Video Preview in View > Window.
Then follow Markk655's instruction to deselect frames.
