Have you got the latest version of Quicktime installed on your computer?
Your camcorder shoots in a couple of different formats. Which format (AVCHD or MP4), resolution and frame rate did you shoot your video in?
Because Quicktime saves every file as an MOV, no matter what codec is in use, program like Movie Studio can sometimes have trouble identifying the properties of MOV files.
You can try going to the nVidia or ATI site and making sure your graphics card has the latest driver. That often fixes these kinds of strange problems.
It also might not hurt to install the software that came with the camcorder on your computer. That may add a necessary codec -- particularly if the cam is using some proprietary codec (which is pretty common with pocket cams).
OP's question have been responded to thoroughly and responsibly in another thread.
The OP's footage is NOT 720 frames per second, in any way, shape, or form.
If the OP wants to ignore my advice, that is fine. But starting a new thread with the same question is a bit more than disingenuous, wouldn't one think?
Best of luck.
I can see how you would think I ignored your advice because I never responded but I tried everything listed in that other thread. Nothing seemed to work except for rendering the file as a Quicktime file which is not ideal for me but it will do.
I started this second thread because I thought putting the Quicktime issue in the title could draw people who specialized in Quicktime. If that is against some kind of protocol here, I didn't know.
I can see that you are active in helping people out on these forums so I just want you to know I am grateful for your help and I am sure other people are too.
On another note, I am still having issues. This might be a problem with my computer though. I installed Sony Vegas 10.0 and every time I try to render my project, it says my system is low on memory. But when I check, I have over 1GB of physical memory. Could this be something wrong with Sony Vegas?
I'm probably as close as anyone here of having expertise on using Kodak zi8, Playsport, Playtouch, etc. files in Vegas. They require a version of Quicktime compatible with your Vegas version. That fact stands without equivocation.
Versions of Quicktime later than 7.6.x are NOT compatible with Vegas Movie Studio 6, which reached its end-of-life over seven years ago. Exact details and a disclaimer are to be found in your other thread (I tend to dislike repeating myself).
In addition, the latest Quicktime (7.7.4) has a series of DOCUMENTED compatibility issues with virtually all Windows NLE systems, including Vegas Movie Studio up to and including version 12.
Broken Quicktime version compatibility in Windows goes back over ten years, about the time I first started investigation the reasons, which are almost exclusively on Apple's side of the fence. They became much worse in 2009, long before Vegas Movie Studio 10 was released publicly, and have continued to contaminate the Windows NLE experience ever since.
That is the history, and can be found on these forums, and all over the internet for that matter. I was trying to give you the benefit of a snapshot of the substantiated history of these issues, having spent many hours over the last years researching them for folks just as you.
You are, however, welcome to seek out your own answers independently, without availing yourself of the body of knowledge already existing on the subject. That appearing to be the case, however, repeating the same question in multiple threads gives me the appearance of disingenuity, or perhaps unwillingness to believe or accept the information already having been presented in response to the same question.
In answer to your last statement, Windows XP has neither the CPU or RAM available for a satisfactory HD editing experience, for many people including me.
I am hoping that by having provided this background, you will not feel compelled to ask the same question in yet a third thread.
Best of luck.

You should start another thread. Before you do though, understand that 1GB is not much. I seem to remember SCS recommends 2GB with both VMS 10 and VPro 10. Also, read here (plus linked articles) and Steve Mann's post here first.
