"Uncut" VS "Unedited": There is a difference... right?

I'm making a Let's Play series. I'm making it uncut; however, my YouTube is unverified so I use Vegas to split up my footage up into 15 min segments to upload separately. So even though a single video is cut off, throughout the entire set of videos it is "uncut" since each video directly picks up where the last one left off. I told my friend about this, but he insists that it's not uncut because he thinks "uncut" and "unedited" are the same.

Here is how I define these two words:

uncut: Video footage that is not cutted (sectons of footage removed), however there still may be editing (eg. VFX & SFX)

unedited: Video footage that has not been modified in any way

Am I right? Or is he right?

oxforddictionaries.com: uncut = not cut (of a text, movie, or performance) complete; unabridged

unedited = (of material for publication or broadcasting) not edited.

merriam-webster.com: uncut = not abridged, curtailed, or expurgated, the film's uncut version

unedited = left unrevised, not yet edited

OTOH, see points 3. and 4. here. (So, are videos and FX substances? 🙃)
