In Movie studio 17, every time I add media to my bin, it automatically adds it to the timeline. I can't remove it from the timeline without removing it from the whole project. How can I fix this? I assume there must be a synching button I can click...

It's one of the restrictions in the basic Movie Studio versions.

In VEGAS Movie Studio Platinum, ""From the Project menu, choose Add Media (or click the Add Media button in the Project Media window) to add a media file to your project without adding it to the timeline."

Thanks!!! I had the basic on trial, and was getting ready to buy it, but, learning this, I'll buy the Platinum, which, oddly enough costs the same...
