Upgrade?

Hello

I'm unsure of the upgrading process. I own Vegas Pro 16 studio. To upgrade do I have to upgrade to Vegas Pro 17 studio even though I already own the effects that come with it and most of the code and features I've already paid for minus the new features (hence my desire to upgrade, just for the new stuff but definitely not to have to rebuy the same features I already have paid for as well).

What happens if I upgrade to just Vegas Pro 17 without the suite option, as noted I already own the other stuff that came with pro 16? Why should I pay the same to upgrade an expensive suite to next version of suite as someone who can upgrade a far cheaper version for same price?

So far I haven't upgraded as my price is same no matter which version I come from, even if coming from Media Studio. It makes no sense that I'd pay the same upgrade price as the cheaper product when I'm already heavily invested in pro.

So currently I'm sticking with 16. Maybe I'll reconsider another outlay in V19 when I've already got my money's worth from 16. Am I missing a trick here?

Maybe you used a trick to much, f.i. not using the right names of the programs or using the right forum.
It looks like you use Vegas Pro 16, version?????

No, you do not. (I'm assuming that by "studio" you mean the Suite version). You can upgrade to any of the Vegas Pro options here https://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/us/upgrades-for-vegas-pro-and-vegas-movie-studio/. The comparison tables are here.

You would get what is listed in the comparison table of the relevant version and any extras of the current special offer. Some of the 3rd party plugins of the previous versions may or may not work in the new version.

Why should I pay the same to upgrade

It makes no sense
