Upgrade from Movie Studio 12 to Vegas Pro Edit 12?

Does anyone know whether there will be an opportunity to upgrade from Movie Studio 12 to Vegas Pro Edit 12? I see I can upgrade to the full VP12 (which includes DVDA 5.2 Pro) but seeing as I just paid for MVS11->12 (to get the 64-bit and OpenCL features), I'm a little disappointed to see I could have waited just a little bit longer and gotten a whole lot more value.

Contact customer service. Often they'll let you switch upgrades and charge you only the difference, especially if it's still within 30 days of your purchase.

I took your advice and they were very helpful but unfortunately I'd already downloaded and activated the MS11->MS12 upgrade a week or two before the announcement of Vegas Pro 12. The good news is that any version of Movie Studio qualifies for a super promotional discount to upgrade to Vegas Pro 12 (just check in My Software and look for the upgrades you're entitled to).

There is no option available to upgrade from Movie Studio to only Vegas Pro Edit, however.

Could you tell me what your definition of 'super promotional discount' is please and your location. Living in Europe and taking a look in my upgrade options I see that the price is €441 - certainly not my definition of a super discount. :-(

Boy,
check your e-mail to see if you have got the special offer with the lower promotional price. It's significantly cheaper in Europe too till Oct. 31.
You might find it at some time cheaper though following your own advice in the other thread :)

Well yes, they very cleverly show (in a large font) the price as being €370 whilst in small font is the price including compulsory tax. Now it's up to the figure earlier quoted. Don't get me wrong - I'm not complaining - for what it does it's still a good price. I was simply wondering what it costs elsewhere to make this a 'super offer'.
