vegas 12 license

Hi,

I just purchased Vegas Pro 12 and so far happy with it (though it did crash after 5 hours of rendering, so...). But then my friend said he'd read somewhere in the terms of agreement that the download only allows the program to be installed on a single computer.
What if the motherboard of my computer breaks down or I want to upgrade it? Will Sony then not accept my registering the product again for the new machine?

Maybe well be a dumb question, but a pertinent one.

cheers,
Marko

Yes, they have always allowed me to buy a new computer (or fix/upgrade my current computer) and simply register it with the same software license. This also explains why you can sell your software license.

They simply DON'T want you to spread the same license to many computers at the same time, and that's understandable - especially today.
