Vegas 12 suite..I am confused!!

When I go to MY SOFTWARE on the Sony website to get the latest version of my SOFTWARE, I have a link to VEGAS PRO12 Suite. When I download and install, to use the HITFILM software I need a Serial (which is not my VEGAS Pro 12 Serial), but I have no reference to a HITFILM serial anywhere so i am don't know what is going on.

Are Sony simply wasting our time and bundling a DEMO of HITFILM or is it actually Part the Suite?

Any clarity would be great...

I agree that it seems they're trying to push HitFilm this way. The same demo thing happens in My Software, when you check the free updates of Movie Studio. HitFilm is not a free update even though the file download link is under that heading. You should uncheck the HitFilm option if you update through this link. Better to use the Downloads / Updates route.
