Vegas 16 No Longer Provides Default Standard DV Project Templates

Hello,

I have not seen a post about this and it doesn't appear to be listed in the "what's new" for Vegas 16. I have found that all of the standard definition templates are gone from Vegas 16. For example "NTSC DV" and "NTSC Widescreen". I assume this was done on purpose and not an accident?

I want to make sure the team is aware that standard definition video is still alive and will be around for quite a while... maybe forever. Footage that only exists in DV format should stay DV format. Additionally, I do work where people still want standard DVDs.

I realize that I can create my own templates, although these are standard settings, so why should I have to create them? Why can't they continue to be supplied?

My fear is that the ability to render standard definition video will be removed next. If that happens, then Vegas will become useless to me. Virtually all of my work requires rendering to DV.

Please keep your users in mind as you continue to move forward with new features.

If I am wrong about all of this and there is a way to get the old templates to display without manually recreating them myself, please let me know.

Thank you.
