Vegas 17 Asks To Activate Every Time It Is Started

ItsMeRobert wrote on 2/11/2020, 9:29 AM

I have been using Vegas for years. I have been using Vegas 17 since it came out last year. Yesterday I was rendering a video and Vegas crashed my machine while rendering. After rebooting, Vegas would not start. When I tried to start Vegas it said the product was not registered and so it would not start. I uninstalled and reinstalled Vegas 17.

After re-installing, I was able to register Vegas and run it. It prompted for elevated privilege's when registering the product and I allowed it. The program then runs normally.

My problem is that now every time I start Vegas, it keeps asking for me to register the application. I have also tried by starting the application as administrator, but it does not remember that it is already activated.

How can this problem be resolved?

Thank you,

Robert

See if this solution works for you.

(And "how to deactivate".)
