Vegas 17 does not automatically create proxies for 4K

Hello

I recently switched to Pro 17 from Movie Studio 16. Normally when I added 4K material to the Media Manager the proxies were created automatically. With Pro 17 I have to select the clips in Media Manager and force the creation. In options the switch for creating proxies is set. Do I miss something or is this the new normallity?

In VP17 the size threshold for auto-creation of proxy files is set higher. Minimum resolution is 4097 x 2.161.

You can adjust the threshold for x and y resolution in the internal preferences.

Internal (hidden) preferences can be found by holding Shift while clicking (Options >) Preferences. Write proxy to the "Show only prefs containing" box to search in the Internal tab.

Within 'Options Internal'. Search 'proxy' there is an option 'proxyswap' which I presume allows me to set a 'proxy' folder. Where are proxies stored if this field is not set? The manual is not very forthcoming.
