Vegas 365 Subscription

A21-EDITS wrote on 8/11/2023, 2:44 AM

Hey guys quick question, what happens after a 365 Subscription ends? will the music I used from there go from non-copyright to copyright on youtube or will it remain un-copyrighted since I had a license for it from the free music. and how much is the Subscription after it ends? I never really thought about this.. Also do I get to keep Vegas 20 after the Subscription?

Re 365 subscriptions ending: "After expiry of the minimum period or renewal period, the contractual period is automatically extended to the specified renewal period of the selected offer unless the agreement is terminated by either party..." (From the Terms and Conditions section II § 2.2). If the subscription is terminated, you won't be able to use the software until you subscribe again or buy the license.

Click the circled "i" in the Subscription offer you selected to see more details about subscription and cancellation conditions. You can now also cancel using the option in your MAGIX account > My contracts.

So Vegas Pro will just stop working completely?

Also, why is it in movie studio 17 when I drag a video in with a black background it doesn't give off the same solid black color as the solid color itself but in vegas pro it does. I was always confused about that. And will it export with different shades of black? haven't used movie studio in awhile..

Yes.

One of the reasons is that 3rd party extras that come with Vegas 365 versions (e.g. Text to Speech, Vegas Content) incur a 3rd party usage cost to the Vegas company each time they are used - and the ongoing subscription fees are set to incorporate those 3rd party costs.

Please note that this approach is not limited to Vegas. Adobe products (e.g. Premiere Pro, After Effects, PhotoShop) are subscription only and access to any of those products also ceases if the subscription arrangement ceases. At least with Vegas, you have the alternative option of buying a perpetual licence.

@A21-EDITS as your Movie Studio -related question is a different issue, you need to create a separate thread for it, preferably on the Movie Studio subforum. It'll get better noticed.

I think that section might be dead.

@A21-EDITS if you'd clicked the circled "i" as advised here, you'd have seen this: "You will be informed well in advance if the extension rate or taxes included change."

Otherwise the offers are at the website https://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/us/ (Click the globe button at the top bar there to see your area's version of that URL and see the pricing in your currency.)

But how does it renew? Or do I have to do manually?
