Vegas License

Greetings all,

I recently purchased Vegas Pro 16 as a yearly subscription. As it turns out you can only activate it on one device at a time, which wasn't mentioned anywhere on the product page. This is highly inconvenient as I edit on my laptop whenever i'm on the road. Are we going to be limited to 1 license forever or am i missing something?

I love Vegas and but i well be forced to cancel the subscription if i cannot use the software on my laptop.

This forum is mostly just users like you. You need to contact Magix Sales or Support directly to get help with your problem.

@Omar-Millet as @Former user says we peer users have no way of knowing if the policy will be changed. So you still need to do what you have already told us in a previous comment of yours. (I guess you have checked that the "once a month" policy is still on with the subcription model.)

@vkmast I posted here more out of Frustration. It really causes me a lot of hassle because i can't use it on more than one device. Really, two is all i'm asking for here. Not to mention that you have to pay money to open a ticket with Magix support, which is so ridiculous. Why should anyone pay $12.99 for them to tell you what you to screw?

@Omar-Millet https://support2.magix.com/customer/en/vegas/form is free.

@Omar-Millet I tried to check the deactivation thing with Support.

One option: "To deactivate a device so you can activate a different one, go to your MAGIX account > My Products > Show More Details > Deactivate." Using this option "you can deactivate an unused device [only] once a month".

Another option is to use the software's Help > Deactivate the Program. According to Support "you can use this option as often as you wish. An online connection is required to do this. This then frees up an activation for a new installation."

From Magix Software /Germany: "An other option is to deactive the devices directly through the program after a new installation and that is unlimited possible." And from a Support article: "All the software registered with a P3 serialnumber can be deactivated over the menu "Help" > "deactivate program". You might want to confirm this regarding Vegas 365 at infoservice@magix.net.
