Vegas Movie Studio HD 11 won't render

So I'm running Movie Studio HD 11 64 bit on a 64 bit ASUS Vivobook, with 4 GB RAM, trying to render a simple 3 minute video and every time I begin to render the project, I get the error message "Low system memory." This is not the first time I've gotten this message, any videos over 30 seconds or so will not render. I have plenty of memory, and see no reason why I should be getting this error message.
I've tried EVERYTHING. I've tried changing the dynamic RAM preview to 0, and the render threads to 1, removing the thumbnails. I've tried updating the program, still nothing. I've even tried downloading the trial versions of various other versions of Vegas to see if it was just a bug in Movie Studio 11, but no matter what, I still I get this error! I've even tried uninstalling every single program on my laptop just to free up some memory. I don't know what else I could possibly do?

I had this issue when I used version 9 on Windows XP. I found that the way I made my videos, with crossfade transitions between clips that were all sped up at various rates between 2x and 4x, it caused Vegas to flake out.

My workaround then was to have my big ole project file for what I wanted the finished product to have, and render it in 1 minute chunks, and when that was done, make a new project file that put those chunks together.

Since I've upgraded to Win 7 and version 12, I haven't seen that issue.

Well I'm using Movie Studio 11 on Windows 8. I tried rendering in 1 minute chunks, still got the error message. Then I tried rendering in 30 second clips, and now the whole program just crashes every single time I try to render anything! I'm desperate now, how can I fix this??

What type of clips are you rendering? Any FX? Pan/Zoom? Are they .mov?

What are you rendering to?

Have you tried other formats to make sure they work?

Did you see and try these suggestions?

I'm rendering .mov files recorded on a Nikon J1, no effects of any sort. And yes I've tried other files, my whole program simply crashes any time I even attempt to render anything. And I tried rendering them to .mp4 and .avi, and even tried it at a lower resolution (the videos are 1080p) to see if that would help.
And yes, I've done every one of those things. Still nothing...

Have you tried disabling GPU acceleration? or updating your video card driver?

Yes, I'm beginning to think that maybe there's just a bug in my program, because it will not even render a 10 second clip without giving me an error message, or crashing. It's very peculiar, I've never had this issue before! I've rendered plenty of full HD videos over 5 minutes with this program before.

>>>So I'm running Movie Studio HD 11 64 bit<<<
I never knew v 11 was 64-bit, although since build 283 the MS Platinum 11 "can now address up to 4 GB of memory when running on a 64-bit version of Windows Vista or Windows 7" (probably on 8 too).
Have you tried the 64-bit versions of MSPlatinum 12 or 13?
I guess you've done a "Search" for "low memory" threads.

Yep, read just about everything, and they all say basicallly the same things. I've tried everything. Including, almost every other version of Vegas that's available. Every last one has given me this error message.
