Vegas Movie Studio Platinum Steam Edition & DVD Architect

Hello,

The product comparison page on the Vegas site shows (or at least implies) VEGAS DVD Architect is included with the Platinum and Suite editions. Is that true that it is included when purchased from the website? I was using the trial and saw a good price ($45) on the Platinum Edition within Steam so I jumped on the deal and installed it but DVD Architect doesn't seem to be included. Am I just misinterpreting the comparison page or should DVD Architect be included?

Thanks,

Matt

I don't see DVD Architect mentioned in the VEGAS Movie Studio 16 Platinum Steam Edition product page. It is certainly included in the "standard" edition of VEGAS Movie Studio 16 Platinum, which can be purchased e.g. from the Magix store on www.vegascreativesoftware.com. The Steam editions may also have some restrictions compared to the standard editions. That and the omission of some components may affect the pricing.

Thanks, I'll get a refund on the Steam purchase and buy from the website

Ordered direct and got an email with serials for Movie Studio, DVD Architect, and the NewBlue transitions. Thanks to a 30% off coupon, price was only a few bucks more than on Steam!

BOY, that's a better deal, I have no use for DVD Architect. in the last 20 years I can't think of more than 2 DVD's I made, so I did not install it at all.

Does it comes with NB 5? I see only the free music Maker

As said above,  the omission of some components may affect the pricing. Steam version does not seem to come with NB 5. In addition to some other restrictions Steam versions do not currently entitle to a future upgrade pricing on the Magix Vegas store AFAIK.

Also I recall reading that with the Steam version you cannot have more than one instance of VMS open. Whilst it's not something I often use it is useful to have two (or more) projects open.
